South Bend Police investigating shooting on Portage Avenue

South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened in the 1400 block of N. Portage Avenue on June 24.
Police say the 17-year-old victim was taken to the hospital by a resident.
Doctors say he is expected to survive.
The investigation is ongoing.
