I think we're really confident about where we're going to be at, we're excited to get this series started off here at home," Pitcher Michael McAvene said.

The Cubs will travel on Wednesday and play the Cedar Rapids Kernels in Iowa on Thursday and Friday.

The winner of the Western Division Championship will play the winner of the Eastern Division Championship, either the Great Lakes Loons or the Lake County Captains, September 18 through 21 for the Midwest League Championship.
