SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Civic Theatre will put on its first comedy performance of ‘Finnegan’s Farewell’, taking the audience through the funeral service and Irish wake of ‘Patty Finnegan’.
It allows the audience to get involved as the characters bring them into the story, all over a nice meal at Fiddler’s Hearth in Downtown South Bend.
The theatre has been around since 1957, when two Notre Dame graduates decided that community theatre should be an important part of the area.
Tickets are selling fast, so much so that the theatre had to add more shows to meet the demand!
Tickets are $50 if purchased with a FlexPass. Without a FlexPass, that price goes to $60.
The money raised from performances like this one goes right back into the theatre, funding things like theatre classes and summer camps, as well as production internships and other programs for youth interested in theatre.
The ticket includes the interactive show and your dinner, dessert and fountain drinks - you’ll just have to buy any alcohol yourself.
Shows will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7P.M., and Sundays at 3P.M., today through the end of the month.
The comedy is rated PG-13 and includes some language and adult themes, so consider leaving the kids at home and coming out for a date night or maybe even a night with friends.
