SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Michiana Veg Fest made its way to the Gillespie Conference Center Sunday afternoon.
The annual fest provides the community with the chance to explore vegan and plant-based lifestyles.
The event included nationally recognized speakers on healthy eating, animal protection, and environmental sustainability, as well as cooking demos for those interested in trying some veggie dishes.
"It's the people coming together, people meeting each other, exhibitors talking to each other, you know, seeing how they can do business with each other," says Michael Pound, Chair of Michiana Veg Fest. "It's people coming in and really tasting that wonderful food that is provided, and it's just generally a whole community event. It's very inclusive. Everyone seems to be having fun."
Organizers say roughly 3,000 people make their way through the Veg Fest each year!
