SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Pigeon and the Hen Pottery in downtown South Bend held their 12th annual Dads and Donuts event Sunday morning!

The sweet event brought together fathers and their kids to paint pottery projects, which are meant to be gifted to the moms in their families, as Mother's Day quickly approaches.

"This is like a prep event for Mother's Day," says Amy Klinger, co-owner of the Pigeon and the Hen Pottery. "It's a special time that we set aside before store hours, a nice, calm hour. We provide donuts and coffee and juice and chocolate milk, and then dads and kids come in and they paint Mother's Day projects for mom, and they're obviously promised for before Mother's Day."

The pottery shop also holds a similar event before Father's Day, called Moms and Macarons.
