Short film festival where the audience members become the judges

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Public Library will host a free Manhattan Short Film Festival at 8 p.m. on September 25 at the Elkhart Environmental Center.

All visitors will be able to watch ten short films that are all twenty minutes or shorter each.

Visitors will then become the judges and vote on their favorite films. All films airing are currently eligible to be nominated in the Academy Awards’ short film category.

Anyone planning to attend is encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to sit on during the festival while outside of the Elkhart Environmental Center, 1717 East Lusher Avenue.

Kona Ice and Dutch Kernel will be at the event to serve snacks during the short films.

These films represent production out of eight different countries including the US, Canada, France, United Kingdom, Italy and Afghanistan.
