Elkhart Police respond to early Monday morning shooting

ABC 57 ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police reports officers were dispatched to 1589 W. Franklin St. after a 911 call of a shooting with injuries came in at 4:52 a.m., Monday.
Upon arrival, police found a female victim and a male suspect.
Officers' initial investigation determined the actual shooting occurred in the 100 block of Union Street.
The man was taken into custody, while the woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation and treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
