INDIANA -- The Indiana Department of Transportation is hosting its next hiring event for winter seasonal work throughout the state on Oct. 6.

The positions will run November through March. Pay starts at $21 an hour for full-time work, and $25 an hour for on-call snowplow-only positions.

Seasonal duties will include general highway maintenance, and snow and ice removal.

A valid CDL is required to be considered for both full-time and on-call positions.

Interviews will be conducted at the event.

The hiring event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time.
