Shooting on the west side of South Bend leaves one in critical condition

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police responded to reports of shots fired at the 1200 block of W. Washington St. Sunday morning around 4 a.m. Upon arrival officers found a victim that had been shot multiple times.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital and is currently in critical condition.

According to police, evidence shows that at least 17 shots were fired.

The Shooting Response Team was activated and has taken over the ongoing investigation.
