Shooting in Goshen sends one to the hospital

GOSHEN, Ind. – Officers from the Goshen Police Department were sent to Goshen General Hospital on Saturday at 5:10 p.m. in response to a person that came in with a gunshot wound.

A 22-year-old male from Elkhart had been shot in the back while in the 1400 block of S 16th Street.

The victim’s injuries are non-life threatening and he was treated and later released that night.

The suspect in this incident is unknown but officials believe there is no threat to the neighborhood.

Goshen Police are still investigating the shooting.
