Security video from a daycare sparks investigation

WINAMAC, Ind. - A man is seen in security footage kneeling on a child's chest at a daycare center has sparked an investigation into the incident. 

In an ABC57 exclusive, investigative reporter Kevin Warmhold follows the police investigation where a man, later identified as a church pastor, knelt on a child's chest during daycare.

The video, allegedly taking place at Winamac Church of Nazarene, shows an adult male, with a child on his shoulders, trying to stop another kid from holding onto his leg.

To stop the boy from grabbing his leg, he lunges forward, pinning that child to ground with his knee to the boy's chest. 

Seconds later, there's a scream and cry as the man releases and stands up. 

This situation caught the attention of the Winamac Police Department, prompting Chief Campbell to start an investigation. 

The man, child and the child's mother have been interviewed by police. 

The mother reportedly told police that her child was not treated for any injuries. 

Chief Campell states that he's reviewed and submitted his report to the Pulaski County Prosecutor's Office and places the investigation in their hands.
