ST.JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Cinco De Mayo celebrations are looking a bit different this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Many Mexican restaurants around South Bend are coming together to bring Cinco De Mayo celebrations, where people are encouraged to eat out a Mexican restaurant.
Like many local restaurants, Cinco5 is temporarily closed for inside dining. But that’s not stopping them from celebrating the holiday with some homemade salsa, nachos, and fajitas for takeout.
They’re also offering their customers margarita kits to celebrate at home.
“We made the mix, the lime juice, agave. It’s in a separate container and we’re going to give it to customers a small tequila patron, so they can mix. They make their own margarita at home,” the Cinco5 Manager Ricardo Mena said.
You can order by calling or going to the restaurants website at https://www.cinco5sb.com/
