ELKHART COUNTY, Ind.—A suspect was arrested Thursday after leading police on two separate pursuits, according to the Goshen Police Department.
Goshen Police officers located a stolen vehicle on Wednesday and attempted to stop the vehicle.
The driver did not stop and a pursuit began.
The suspect traveled through Goshen and the pursuit ended on the south side of the city but the suspect was not arrested, police said.
On Thursday morning, officers located the same vehicle in Goshen and again attempted to conduct a traffic stop.
The driver again did not stop and another pursuit began in Goshen and then moved into New Paris.
Police said the driver stopped the vehicle and tried to hide in an acquaintance’s home in New Paris.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office was called in and officers from both departments surrounded the home.
Police then arrested the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Dillon Scholl of Elkhart, without further incident.
Scholl was arrested on suspicion of two counts of resisting law enforcement, possession of a handgun without a license, reckless driving, driving without a license and possession of methamphetamine.
Police said that the ongoing investigation may result in additional charges through the Goshen Police Department.
