Granger Community Church food drop taking place Saturday morning
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Each year local animal shelters and rescues partners with PetSmart to raise money for donations for pets.
Sunday marks the end of National Adoption Week, and the PetSmart on Ireland Road is hosting a Stuff-A-Truck event from 10 am to 7 pm. This event will help support SNAP of Michigan, the South Bend Animal Resource Center, All 4 Animals and Pet Refuge.
The goal is to fill up the trunk of the truck with food, toys, beds and more. Monetary donations also can be made today to help fund vet bills and monthly expenses as well.
“Things they are looking for right now are dog food, cat food, and wet kitten food is really high in demand, beds are always needed, anything that your dog would like at home, these dogs want in the shelter, cats as well,” Sarah Jennings, Trainer at PetSmart, said.
Drop off items at 1209 E Ireland Road, in the Erskine Village, to help our local furry friends.
