GOSHEN, Ind. -- Brand new clean and modern restrooms were unveiled today at Ox Bow Park in Goshen, near the fisherman’s shelter where many of their major events are held.
In total the park now has 15 new restrooms, something the director of Elkhart County parks has said it was paid for with $4 million dollars in funding from the American rescue plan act. Helping bring the Ox Bow Park into the 21st century.
"By putting in modern latrines, we bring our park system into this next century of protecting our groundwater resources and being able to improve the visit to the county park system." said Ronda Decaire, Director at Elkhart County Parks
The grand opening was celebrated with a t-p ribbon cutting and refreshments included with some restroom themed donuts.
