UPDATE: Power restored after over 1,000 Roseland residents were without due to an equipment issue

UPDATE: Indiana and Michigan Power has announced that nearly all impacted customers have had their power restored as of 12:30 p.m. 

"At 12:30 p.m., all but two customers have been restored," I&M officials said. "The remaining customers will be restored once repairs are made. The cause of the outage was an equipment issue."

ORIGINAL: ROSELAND, Ind. -- At least 1,016 Indiana Michigan Power customers in Roseland are without power as of noon Friday.

I&M's website list Friday, June 21, at 2:30 p.m. as the expected restoration time. You can keep track of I&M outages in the area, here. 

Also happening today from 3 to 6 p.m. is a Peak Energy Event, which is part of I&M's voluntary Power Rewards program.

During those hours, enrolled customers are asked to reduce their energy use to get bill credits.
