UPDATE: Silver Alert officially issued for teen missing out of Logansport

Indiana State Police

UPDATE: After reports of 14-year-old Bryson Muir's disappearance were first released earlier this week, on Friday, the Indiana State Police issued an official Silver Alert for the boy.

"Earlier today, Daniel and Kristen Muir had agreed to bring their 14-year-old son Bryson to meet with ISP investigators at the Peru Post," ISP said. "The agreement was to meet at 12 p.m. At approximately 11 a.m., the Muirs backed out of that arrangement which signaled an unwillingness to cooperate."

Muir lived with his mom and dad on the compound of an organization known as Sevant Leader's Foundation, a controversial organization with its main offices in Carlsbad California.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing, and ISP still encourages the public to come forward with any information as to the whereabouts of Bryson Muir by calling either the Peru Post at 800-382-0689 or 911.
