Bi-centennial Bridge now re-opened after mechanical problems

City of St. Joseph UPDATE: The Bi-centennial Bridge is now re-opened to the public for use.
ORIGINAL: ST. JSOEPH, Mich. -- The City of St. Joseph, Mich. reports the Bi-centennial Bridge is currently closed to vehicle traffic due to mechanical difficulties.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is working to address the issue and the St. Joseph Department of Public Safety is directing traffic in the area.
Motorists are asked to find an alternate route.
