Notre Dame players bring home the gold

Notre Dame is already known for its gold, but now three basketball standouts are sporting gold medals.

Skylar Diggins, Natalie Novosel and Devereaux Peters came back to campus as World University Games champions.

Diggins said, “" A lot of people, you are their only perspective of Americans.  They're going to get, so for us to be able to impact those people like that where they're in tears when we leave."

The three played for team U.S.A. in China, and they say there was nothing more exciting than representing not only Notre Dame, but their country.

Diggins also said, “"For us to be able to change people's idea and how Americans are and for them to love us,it was like rock star status a little bit."

Notre Dame player Tim Abromaitis was also in China with the U.S. men’s team. They finished fifth at the World University Games.
