ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - One of the most talented tight ends in Notre Dame history is hanging up his helmet. Kyle Rudolph announced his retirement this week after 12 years in the NFL.
From 2008 to 2010, Rudolph compiled more than 1,000 yards and eight touchdowns for the Irish.
He was a 2nd round draft pick by the Minnesota Vikings in 2011.
A two-time pro bowler, Rudolph walks away with 482 receptions for 4,773 yards and 50 touchdowns.
Not only a great player but Rudolph is also known for his charitable work.
He was a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award multiple times throughout his career for his volunteer work and fundraising for children's hospitals.
