NORTH WEBSTER, Ind.— You don’t need to head under the sea for this mermaid festival, the fun is coming to North Webster June 21 through the 24th for their 77th annual Mermaid Festival that splashed into the weekend’s festivities with the Cutie Parade and Pageant.
Locals told ABC57 it is one of the best weekends the town celebrates all year.
The tale of the mermaid goes way back, and while it may not directly involve mermaids, it’s a summertime staple in the community.
There is a full lineup of live music, carnival rides, and of course a mermaid on the agenda, as well as so much more.
