Nappanee Public Library poses Winter Reading Challenge to the community
NAPPANEE, Ind. -- The Nappanee Public Library has announced a challenge to readers across the community this holiday season with their Winter Reading Challenge taking place from Dec. 10 to Jan. 7.
The challenge is being posed to all readers, young and old, with participants needing to read for 750 minutes to earn a $5 gift card to Main Street Roasters.
"Along the way, for every 250 minutes read, you’ll also receive a ticket for our grand prize drawing," library communications director Micheala Leemon said. "Prizes include a Sourdough Starter Kit, a Carhart lunchbox, gift cards to local businesses, and more!"
No library card is required to participate, and officials say all kinds of reading counts.
"Whether you’re enjoying a book, ebook, magazine, newspaper, or even an audiobook, every minute you spend reading will help you reach your goal," said Leemon. "During the challenge, the library will also host fun programs for all ages, making it a perfect opportunity for the whole family to get involved."
There will be a Winter Reading Challenge Kickoff from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec 10, during which people can sign up for the challenge, enter the giveaway, and enjoy a beverage from the Electric Brew Espresso Bar while supplies last.
"Cozy up with a good book this winter and make it a season to remember," Leemon said. "We can’t wait to see you at the library!"
