Motorcycle crash in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. --Officers responded to a single vehicle crash on Jul. 13, around 6:30 p.m., on S.R. 15 at C.R. 112. 

The motorcycle driver was going northbound on S.R. 15, when the motorcycle left the travel lane and went off the east side of the roadway. 

That motorcycle continued into a ditch, until it crossed C.R. 112, hit a stop sign, and stopped on the northeast corner of the intersection of S.R. 15 and C.R. 112. 

The driver was airlifted to South Bend Memorial for life threatening injuries. 

This crash is still under investigation by the Elkhart County Sheriff's Office Crash Team.
