Mishawaka Pilots Club hosts 'Father's Day Fly-in Drive-in'

ELKHART, Ind. - The Mishawaka Pilots Club will host its annual "Father's Day Fly- in Drive-in" on June 14 and 15, which includes fireworks, movie night, a car show, and plane rides.

The Mishawaka Pilots Club was founded in 1947 with a long history of flight instruction.

The festivities begin on Friday, June 14, at noon, with airplane camping.

From 4 to 6:30 p.m., there will be a pork chop dinner.

From 7 p.m. to dusk, there will be Spot Landing, Flour Bombing, and a STOL Competition.

A movie will be shown at dusk, but the film has yet to be announced.

On Saturday, June 15, from 7 to 11 a.m., there will be a pancake and sausage breakfast.

Airplane rides will be offered from 8 to 11 a.m. Ride tickets will be available at the event.

Cars in the car show will begin parking at 7 a.m., with judging happening at 9 a.m.

There will also be an EMS helicopter and firetruck display.

You can buy your breakfast and dinner tickets online. Friday night dinner tickets will be limited and sold online only.

The event is happening at the 3C1 Airport at 29580 County Road 20 in Elkhart.
