Mish Fest in Mishawaka kicks off with music, hot air balloon rides and ringing in the fall season

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The event lasted from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and featured food trucks, vendors, bumper cars, and a performance by "Trailer Swift." However, people were lined up for the hot air balloon rides.

Hoosiers gathered to enjoy music, rides and quality family time. The festival has been growing for at least a decade but for some, tonight was a first.

"We're super excited we're looking to possibly do some stuff with Mishawaka next year already with the Parks department so, I look forward to doing that. I'm going to keep that a little bit of a teaser there for you guys," said Joe Burger with Marvel Ballooning.

Even busy mama of two, Abby DeWald, got to try the food trucks and plans to make this a yearly routine.

"It's been fun, they've really enjoyed the bumper cars." says DeWald.

Whether it's your first time here, your 10th or you're a vendor, there's something here for everyone.
