ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Middlebury Community Schools announced updates to its COVID-19 policies, including a decision to stop contact tracing.
The decision follows changes the Indiana Department of Health made to COVID-19 policies in K-12 schools, which go into effect on Wednesday.
The school corporation will also no longer quarantine close contacts.
Students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 are expected to isolate for five days and can return to school on day six. Those who test positive are encouraged to wear a mask at school on days six through 10.
Middlebury Schools have not required masks since December.
