ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - - The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to C.R. 42 for a crash involving a truck and two horses around 8:27 p.m. Wednesday night.

The report states that a 2010 Ford F150, driven by 34-year-old Timothy Beechy of Millersburg, was traveling west on C.R. 42 when two loose horses ran into the road directly in front of his truck. He was unable to avoid them and struck both animals.

Both horses died due to injury.

Beechy complained of right abdominal pain, right knee pain, and left shin pain and was transported to Goshen Hospital for treatment.
