Michigan Department of Transportation announces M-51 patching project

NILES, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $30,000 to patch one mile of M-51 from Main Street to Fort Street in Niles.

Work on the road is scheduled to begin on Monday.

This work is in preparation for a project that will remove the two US-12 bridges over M-51 and build a new intersection with US-12 that starts in 2024.
