MDOT invests $640K into chip sealing section of M-60

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Transportation announced chip sealing will begin on more than five and a half miles of M-60 on May 27.

The $640,000 investment includes crack sealing, chip sealing, and fog sealing on M_60 between the M-60/M-62 north junction in Cassopolis to White Temple Road in Vandalia.

MDOT says there will be daytime single-lane closures with traffic regulators.

This work is expected to extend the life of the roadway.

The completion date

 The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and contractor Pavement Maintenance Systems will be chip sealing more than 5.5 miles of M-60 (State Street) from the M-60/M-62 north junction in Cassopolis to White Temple Road in Vandalia.

The $640,000 investment includes crack sealing, chip sealing and fog sealing.

Officials expect work to be completed by July 18.
