UPDATE: Suspect identified, charged after 50 pounds of meth recovered in police pursuit

UPDATE: The Berrien County Prosecutor's Office has identified the suspect in this case as Samuel Graves.

Graves has formally been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Fleeing and Eluding a Police Officer Third Degree, and four counts of Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer.

ORIGINAL STORY: BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Fifty pounds of crystal methamphetamine was seized and a 31-year-old suspect taken into custody following a months-long investigation and a pursuit in Berrien County on Thursday May 21.

The 50 pounds of methamphetamine was allegedly recovered from the suspect's vehicle following a vehicle pursuit that began when the suspect allegedly met with a suspected supplier and fled deputies.

The suspect allegedly fled the vehicle when it was stopped on US 31 using stop sticks, only to be taken into custody eight hours later on the following day, Friday, May 22.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was charged with Fleeing and Eluding Police, Resisting and Obstructing Police, and Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine.
