One female is dead in an overnight shooting in Elkhart

ABC 57 ELKHART, ind. -- One adult female is dead after an overnight shooting in Elkhart.
On May 24 at approximately 2:50 a.m. the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare check in the 30000 block of County Road 18.
Arriving deputies discovered an adult female unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound.
The female was later pronounced dead.
The scene is secured and the Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating.
