Mayor Mueller undergoes unexpected medical procedure, expected to make full recovery

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Mayor James Mueller has undergone an unexpected medical procedure and is currently recovering in the hospital, the City of South Bend announced.
The surgery, performed by a cardiothoracic team, was successful.
Mayor Mueller is expected to make a full recovery and will be released from the hospital in the coming days.
