One killed after motorcycle crashes into concrete barrier in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. — The Elkhart Police Department responded to a fatal crash Friday evening involving a motorcyclist.

Around 6:10 p.m. on July 12, authorities arriving to the scene near the 3000 block of Brittany Court noticed a motorcycle had struck a concrete barrier.

The 57-year-old motorcyclist was transported to Elkhart General Hospital with traumatic wounds he later succumbed to, according to the press release.

Authorities say the motorcyclist was the only injured party.

The name of the driver is being withheld pending family notification.
