WHITLEY COUNTY, Ind. -- The Whitley County Sheriff's Department were dispatched Feb. 14 at approximately 12:20 a.m. to Blue Lake on the report of a serious snowmobile accident that occurred at approximately 11:45 p.m. with serious injuries reported.
The initial investigation reveals that 44-year-old Robert Baker and a juvenile were traveling on a snowmobile, when along the shoreline they crashed into brush.
Upon the collision, both occupants were thrown from the machine.
Lifesaving measures were rendered on the scene, but both were pronounced dead.
This investigation into this accident is still ongoing.
