Louisiana man arrested for allegedly impersonating utility worker to rob Pulaski County resident

PULASKI COUNTY, Ind. -- The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office reports deputies received a report of a residential burglary just north of Winamac, where a man was alleged to be impersonating a utility company employee.
The report states the man had stolen a large sum of money from an elderly resident and fled the scene.
A Pulaski County detective has been investigating the case which led to the man being identified as 48-year-old Teddy Girton of Louisiana.
An arrest warrant was then issued for Girton in Pulaski County as a result.
On Wednesday, law enforcement in Kentucky found Girton and took him into custody.
The report states Girton was found to have outstanding warrants in several Indiana counties.
Girton is now awaiting extradition to Pulaski County.
Authorities say they're still gathering evidence in this case for the specific victim involved.
