SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57 Kickoff's LeVon Whittaker had the chance to speak with former Florida State defensive end and current New York Giants linebacker Brian Burns.
Burns last faced-off against the Irish back in 2018, where the Seminoles were defeated by Notre Dame. He talked about the challenges of that game in South Bend and the climate difficulties in comparison to Florida States' weather.
"It was crazy. We went there. It was super cold. I was not a fan of that." said Burns. "Overall, they got the best of us. I had a pretty good game, but overall, they had the best of us. But like now, it was intense, a lot of a lot of trash talking on the field. It was intense."
Burns also talked briefly about his predictions for this Saturday's matchup with FSU against Notre Dame.
"Man, we could be, we can be, oh, and seven right now, I'm still going with state." stated Burns. "You know what it is, especially, especially going against them, you know? So, like with those type of, those type of games, the intensity level is going to rise. You never can know which way it's going to go. But I will say this. I will say this, me and old boy right here. Gonna put up a little, put up a little, a little wager. I got some, I got some gift for me to wear if we pull off this win.
