LAKEVILLE, Ind. -- Lakeville's Newton Park held ‘Halloween in the Park’ this Saturday with a trunk or treat event for participants.
Around 1000 kids showed up to the event according to Cindy Brooke, the Social Event Coordinator. The kids were decked out in their Halloween costumes and over 70 cars were parked there so kids could get candy.
“It makes your day when you see the kids come through and they’re smiling, and, you know, you see the parents, and they’re all having a good time, we’ve seen families come through that are all dressed alike as you know, they do their own deal, and it’s just fun to watch the kids walk through the line and have a great night.” said Matt Hovermale, volunteer from Swan Lake Resort.
Outside of just trunk or treating, there were photo opportunities with the Grinch and Optimus Prime.
