Irish storm past Hurricanes, 6-0

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer team brought home a 6-0 road win over the University of Miami Hurricanes.

Notre Dame’s defense did not allow a shot for the Hurricanes until 64-minutes into the game, and did not allow the first shot on goal until 67-minutes into the game.

The Irish scored six goals in a match for the first time since 2015 against Valparaiso.

Notre Dame also recorded its first shutout of the season. The Irish finished 2019 with 10 shutouts on the year.

The Fighting Irish will return to Alumni Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 1 for the home opener against Boston College.
