Intoxicated woman hits sign and pole in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. — Elkhart County police are investigating a crash that happened on County Road 7 early Saturday morning.
Police say Kelly Hammond was driving south at around 3:30 a.m. when she ran off the road. That's when the 43-year-old hit a highway sign and a utility pole. Her car rolled over and stopped on its side.
Police say Hammond was intoxicated.
Hammond had minor cuts on her arm.
There was one other passenger inside the car.
Hammond was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
