Indiana State Police investigating death of inmate

HUNTINGTON COUNTY, Ind. -- Indiana State Police are investigating the death of an inmate who died after being found in medical distress in his cell at the Huntington County Jail.

Dakota M. Pratt, 19, was found lying on the floor of his cell in medical distress Tuesday night around 11:45 p.m.

Officers rendered aid until medics arrived and he was transported to a hospital in Fort Wayne.

He died Wednesday night around 9:20 p.m.

An autopsy was scheduled for Thursday morning.

Foul play is not suspected.
