Indiana State Police investigating death of female inmate at St. Joseph County Jail

Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a female inmate at the St. Joseph County Jail.
Jail staff found the woman alone and unresponsive in her cell at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
Jail and medical staff performed life saving measures until EMS arrived.
She was pronounced deceased at the jail.
Indiana State Police were contacted to conduct an investigation.
