Indiana National Guard set to support D.C. National Guard in December

Indiana National Guard

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Roughly 300 Indiana National Guard soldiers have been authorized by Governor Mike Braun on a mission to support the Washington D.C. National Guard for no more than four months, starting in December.

To prepare for their mission, the Indiana National Guard soldiers will train at Camp Atterbury before their early December departure.

This federal support mission comes at the request of the D.C. National Guard to assist with their stated mission to increase safety in the capital, replacing soldiers from other states' National Guards that have been mobilized since August.
