Indiana Michigan Power releases update on power outages
Indiana Michigan Power says power has been restored to most of the people who lost power in Monday and Wednesday's storms.
Indiana Michigan Power says they had to replace 130 broken poles during the restoration process to more than 40,000 customers.
There are some customers in Berrien County who are still without power. I&M says those customers will be restored by 4 p.m. Friday.
In South Bend, I&M says there are about two dozen customers without power. Because they are single-customer outages, I&M is contacting the customers to discuss their restoration.
There are about 100 Elkhart customers without power due to Wednesday's storm. Service to those customers should be restored by 3 p.m. Friday.
I&M says more than 500 employees and contractors have been working diligently to restore power to customers and thanks customers for their patience.
