Changes coming to LaSalle and Western Library Branches part of 10-year plan

St. Joe County Public Library

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The St. Joe County Public Library announced the acquisition of the former ZB Falcons property at 323 S. Sheridan Street, which is to be turned into the new Western Branch, while they will also make improvements to the LaSalle Branch.

Library officials say these updates are part of the “Our Next Chapter” 10-Year Facilities Plan, aimed at modernizing and enhancing library services across the region.

Officials say these enhancements are being made with no tax impact on the community.

Both projects are expected to begin in 2025, with no firm dates at this time according to library officials.

The Western and LaSalle Branch enhancements follow the Centre Branch renovation, which started earlier in 2024 and is slated to reopen in fall of this year.
