Humane Society of St. Joseph County hosting free microchip clinic
ABC 57 ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Humane Society of St. Joseph County is hosting a free microchip clinic ahead of Pet ID Week. The clinic to help local families protect their pets and will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Humane Society of St. Joseph County (2506 Grape Rd, Mishawaka).
The clinic is being held ahead of Pet ID Week. Pet ID Week is from April 17-23, and it is to encourage pet owners to take an important step that can greatly increase the chances of being reunited with a lost pet. The microchips will provide a permanent identification that helps shelters and veterinary clinics quickly connect lost pets to their families.
Pet owners are encouraged to register online before Friday, April 10th. Walk-ups will be accommodated while supplies last.
