SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A house fire on the 1600 block of West Elmwood Avenue caused thousands of dollars in damage Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews say no one was injured in the blaze that started around 1:30 p.m. but it did cause about $7,000 worth of trouble.
After an initial investigation, investigators say the fire started in a second-floor bedroom and was contained to that room.
