Thursday is hot and humid. While the day started mostly sunny, we will see more clouds developing this afternoon and evening. Temperatures are in the low 90s and heat indices in the mid 90s. With heat and humidity, there could be a few thunderstorms this afternoon or evening. While chances are low, a few of the storms could be strong to severe. The primary threats are wind gusts and large hail.
On Friday, the threat for strong or severe storms is slightly higher than Thursday. These thunderstorms are along a cold front, which will bring relief from heat and humidity starting Friday evening. Impacts of these storms again are potentially damaging wind gusts and hail. Confidence in timing is low right now, but storms primarily look to be after 3 p.m. Friday and lasting through early Saturday morning.
Temperatures over the weekend will be noticeably cooler in the mid 70s with lower humidity. Both Saturday and Sunday look dry with plenty of sunshine.
Today: Hot and mostly sunny. Few afternoon thunderstorms possible. High 92.
Tonight: Mostly cloudy with thunderstorms. Low 71.
Friday: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, possibly severe storms. High 88.
Saturday: Mostly sunny. High 76.
