Hike to find the '12 Birds of Christmas' at Ox Bow County Park Wednesday

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Parks Department announced they will hold their holiday-themed bird walk, "12 Birds of Christmas," on Wednesday from 8 to 10 a.m. at Ox Bow County Park.

Organizers invite you to join in on the festive fun group challenge to find the "12 Birds of Christmas," an avian spin on the classic "12 Days of Christmas" carol.

The event will give birders the chance to hear stories and lore behind the birds from the classic carol, and spot 12 new ones within the park.

Participants are welcome to sing or hum along with the group as they find each bird.

The free event is open to ages 8 and up, and no registration is required.

Attendees will meet at the Ox Bow Haus Shelter in Ox Bow County Park at 23033 C.R. 45 in Dunlap.

Park admission will be waived for all participants.
