Community Build underway at Kathryn Park
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Greek Taverna Night is happening Saturday evening and will be an event filled with food, drinks, music, and fun ways to celebrate the Greek community and the St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church's 100th birthday. The event is free to attend and if you are looking to dine in or carry out a meal, it's $25 per meal with tickets available on site while supplies lasts.
The church is expecting over 500 guests to attend, and planning for this event has been in the works for a few months, but this taverna night is just one of a few ways the church is celebrating.
The meal will be a pork souvlaki dinner or a half Greek chicken dinner with sides of rice pilaf, Greek green beans, and Greek salad as well.
Funds for this event will go towards future projects and renovations at the church as they march past the 100-year mark.
