Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer held a press conference Monday to discuss the state's response to COVID-19.
During the press conference, Gov. Whitmer announced the "Futures for Frontliners” program to provide a tuition-free pathway to college or a technical certificate to essential workers who don’t have a college degree.
She also said she plans to announce on Friday that commercial and residential construction will be allowed to begin again on May 7.
